Merry Christmas

Hey Friends,

This past year has been surprising, unprecedented, complicated, and difficult. It’s been a time of loss, of less. And so has this Christmas.

Maybe this season of less is a gift.

Maybe earning less has caused us to learn contentment.

Maybe seeing less of each other has taught us more about each other.

Maybe less travel led us to appreciate home.

Maybe less busyness has provided us peace.

Maybe less control taught us how much more there is to learn about ourselves.

Maybe less is what we needed.

And maybe this season of less will show us a fraction of all that Jesus gave up for us.

“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave, and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God, and died a criminal's death on a cross.” Philippians 2:5-8

Take comfort knowing that Jesus understands where you are, and God is in control. While our world changes, He will never change, and will forever be our Guide, Comforter, Saviour, Redeemer, Healer, and King.
