Break Forth Canada 2012
Hey! Wow, what a busy new year it has been already! It has been exciting to become a sponsor for Compassion Canada, and also become part of my child’s life. I look forward to our many letters and notes, and staying updated with her life in Mexico. I have also recently signed on as a Compassion Artist, and look forward to bringing awareness of their mission churches soon. If you are interested in having me come to promote Compassion in your church, please contact me. I had the privilege of attending Break Forth Canada this past weekend in Edmonton, Alberta, and I am exhausted, to say the least! After many hours of teaching sessions, sessions of worship led by famous Christian composers such as Paul Baloche (“Above All”), Brenton Brown (“Everlasting God”), and Robyn Mark, then popular speakers such as Anne Graham Lotz (daughter of Billy Graham), Tony Campolo, and Nick Vujicic (man who was born without arms or legs). Nick’s message stuck with me the most – “More than arms or legs, I wanted peace”, and “If God doesn’t change my circumstances, God will use my circumstances.” Reconnecting with fellow artists and radio friends was a high-lite, as was seeing performances by Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, Starfield, Downhere, and Third Day. Compassion was represented at Break Forth Canada - 643 children were sponsored! Thank you for your generosity! I was also able to meet with fellow artists, to share thoughts on opportunities and possibilities (stay tuned for details!). It was a very full but very uplifting weekend, and I am now appreciating my time at home. I have enjoyed performing at The House Coffee Sanctuary, and continue to perform regularly. Join me Saturday, February 11th, for a relaxing evening and some great music. My song lists will include those awesome 80’s love songs that we all love so much, as well as love songs to and about God. While we may feel lost and lonely, or abandoned in our world, God’s love never fails. It will be a fun night at The House - I look forward to seeing you there! Check my Dates page for details. You are in my thoughts. May you go to God with everything, and allow him to use you where you are. To encourage you, Isaiah 61:1-2 says, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the broken hearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favour has come…”. Keep going…
